The SGU 100 sash sensor is used to measure the position of a vertical sash in laboratory fume cupboards. The infinitely variable measurement of the sash position is accurate to < 1 mm, which permits the use of extremely fast and non-oscillating VAV control systems. The SGU 100 is simple to fit (ideally on the sash's counterweight), and the measuring range can easily be changed from the standard 500 mm to 1000 mm for walk-in fume cupboards by fitting a different spring element.
